Yatra: Revolutionizing Public Transportation with Smart Bus Tracking
Public transportation is an essential part of everyday life in Sri Lanka. However, passengers often face a common challenge: not knowing where their bus is or how long they need to wait.
At Evolve Tech Labs, we believe technology can help solve real-world problems. That's why we are developing Yatra, a smart bus-tracking application designed to improve the public transportation experience.
What is Yatra?
Yatra is a smart transportation solution that aims to help passengers track buses in real time, check their locations, and make better travel decisions.
Instead of waiting at a bus stop without knowing when the next bus will arrive, passengers can use Yatra to view available buses and access useful location information directly through their mobile devices.
How Does It Work?
Yatra combines hardware, GPS technology, backend systems, and mobile application development to create a connected transportation experience.
The system uses:
- ESP32: A microcontroller used to process and transmit tracking information.
- GPS Module: Collects the geographical location of the bus.
- Backend Server: Receives and processes location updates.
- Mobile Application: Displays bus locations and relevant journey information on a map.
This combination allows the application to receive and display bus-location information.
Our Vision for Sri Lanka
Our vision is to make public transportation more convenient, accessible, and technology-driven.
We want passengers to spend less time waiting without information and have more control over their daily journeys.
Yatra is not just another mobile application. It represents our commitment to exploring how technology and innovation can address everyday challenges in Sri Lanka.
